In
the Spring of 2007 Great Lakes Crane Rental was contracted for the
hoisting of a 30' wide, 16,000 pound press box. Hoisting an object this
big requires a 40 ton crane with special riggings and spreader bars all
of which Great Lakes has on hand. This is just another example of how
having specialty equipment in stock enabled us to help one our
customers beat a deadline while saving them money. With the full load
of the press box, riggings, spreader bars and the ball, our 40 ton
crane was lifting more than 17,000 pounds safely to it's 20 foot high
destination.
